To me chat and forums seem rather cold and impersonal unless you know the person already or get to know them online.
So lets play "get to know you"

1) where you're from
2)likes and dislikes
3)dreams
4)music
5)DOGS....or cats

(Don't get too personal as this still is the internet)

I'm from the Houston ,Texas Area. Although i grew up in San Antonio, I never went back after a 4 year hitch in the Navy...i used to be really involved in the Boy Scouts as a scoutmaster...(It took me away from the hobby too much ) so i gave that up after 8 years...i like trains, fishing, camping, and days off...i work as a water plant operator in a utility / power generation / air separation plant..i don't like beets, freaky people, or golf...but love football...I listen to most music being partial to country and classic rock but don't listen to rap or hip hop. i have one dog..she's a malimut named Lady ..I have two kids that are grown and on their own from a previous marriage and I've remarried again to a wonderful gal (my first marriage was more like hell on earth)..we live in a house in the country just northeast of Houston and I do go to church on Sunday...Chuck

1. Born and raised in the Sea of Tranquility, Luner Base Station Number Three.

2. I like Romulan Ale and Tranquil Bass.

3. I hate Klingon Goc and Klingon music.

4. Hope to settle near Mount Luna when I retire. Absolutly beautiful forest lands up there at about the 2000 foot level and some of the best skiing around anytime, anywhere. At the 5000 foot level, you can see 50 miles in all directions. You would love it.

PS, Are you missing any pets? Ask HER about it.

I'm from Western New York State
According to my wife my list of dislikes is much longer than my likes .. has something to do with my age I guess . so here is a sample of
dilikes:
the idiot in the car ahead of me when I am late
finding toilet paper over instead of under .. thats a rule of life
waiting in line . not much in life is worth waiting in line I find
People with more than 10 items in the less than 10 item line
ignorant people
people who think I "play" with trains
other Corvette owners who dont wave back
the person who thought it was neat to have commericals on TV louder than programs
fat people (they should pay a tax for the extra space they take up}
3 seats together on an airplane (cattle car)

likes:
women in general
wind
a warm summer night
Model railroading
my wonderful wife who puts up with me
my dog Oreo who follows me everywhere
retirement (OMG - I wish I could have done it 20 years ago)

I try not to dream too much anymore. God has granted me the time to realize most of them that are realist and those that are unrealist are none of your business

Rock 'n Roll baby .. hmmm perhaps a little country too as I am learning to like it as I grow older. Some of that classical stuff is kinda nice too ...

Dogs definately .. anything .. anything that moves its bowels in the house is not something to have in the house.
