Hi, I came into this in the middle of everything again. About the time I get up to speed on what poeple in threads like this are referring to, I'm offline for a while 'cause of computer crash, or work overtime, or a project, and get in the dark about a new happening. I was going to say "hey, Holland, I was there to paint your light house." With all the lighthouse interest in gift and book stores, why didn't Lionel come out with an acc. of one years ago? Maybe it took moving their whole production line overseas where a lot of the model were already being made! Then I see that lupo isn't from Michigan. OOPs, oh well, I have riden the Silverton. And someone is making "O" narrow gauge that uses HO track. And I am planning to model a scene representive of the high line, but probably using my 027 track. Has anybody modeled the Silverton in "O" size model trains? Happy TRAINing. FDM

I hope to come back to the US later this year, if the business lets me, in 1999, 2000 and 2001 we closed the shop /works down for a month in winter to go to the USA, but nowadays we are very busy and my son is to old to skip school ( he is 7) from the age of 5 it is a fellony to let your kids skip school in holland.

I could recommend it ! we did the trip in Februari so did not go all the way to Silverton because of snow blocking the higher part of the tracks, We also chased the train by car the next day, there there is quite a long stretch of road along the tracks with many crossings ( whistle) just before the train gets back into Durango, also the switching they do overthere at the end of each run is fun to watch, the people from the company who were working the train were really nice and informative, that is the advantage of an operating museum-like railroad ! there is time to answer questions
I thought it were some days well spend!

I find it amusing that those who don't agree with certain threads have appointed themselves "forum cops". If you don't like a thread, don't read it. Instead they try to pu***HEIR belief of what these forums should contain--what is the problem with people having fun and heck, I even put a little info with some of my "frivolous" posts, (see 341 and 759 on DOS). What is the problem with people having fun about a subject that may not be related to MRR but we ARE here for MRR. For example, when you are at work, is work all you talk about? Of course not!!! Same thing applies here. It has been said before and I will say it again, if you don't like a thread, skip it. But no one has the right to tell me or anyone else on these forums (other than the forum administrators) what we can or cannot post!! Flame me if you want, but I've got real thick skin!![soapbox]

P.S Standing my ground for my RIGHT to have fun with this hobby!

Hi lupo, I e-mailed Bergie today about his action, and ask him to unlock the DOS and at least let us get to 1000. NO DICE, THE FORUM AIN"T FOR THIS SORT OF NONSENSE!!!!! I had asked him a question and thru the DOS thread we had a dialogue and then it was locked.
