I see what you are saying Shaun. I know that some of you don't like the idea. I think it's very cool though.

P.S. Lupo, I edited it because it first said OK> I changed it to OK.

941--Hey Lupo, North Texas is the DFW (Dallas/Ft. Worth) area which is where I live. Amarillo is considered the 'Panhandle' . I would have replied about this on the DOS thread (non-topic) but Bergie finally took his ball and went home!! No offense Bergie. And Hello Lupo!!

943--Lupo, did you check out any more of the State Fairgrounds after visiting Age Of Steam? Kinda neat Art Deco architecture. Better get to 1000 before Bergie gets wind of DOS part II!!! More aptly, before some sticks in the mud see this and start wearing Bergie out with e-mails!! Have a great Dutch day Lupo!!

Tanks emory,
I it was a nice piece of the City sure, when we were overthere we also visited Dealy Plaza the museum overthere and did some railfanning near the railway overpass next to the "grassy knowle" .
Also the part of town near to dealy plaza with all the refurbished warehouses ( shop and restaurants) was neat and another "Highlite" on our visit to Dallas was South Fork Ranch, where due to almost no visitors in februari rewarded us with a personal tour of the ranch
We only visited Dallas for a few days during a month long trip throug the south-west part of your country, we passed Amarillo on our way to DURANGO, to ride the DSNGRR
so this post is again RR related

btw: 944

Note To Puzzled members:
I started some conversation with Emory at the DOS topic just before it was closed, so we are taking our conversation to this corner of the forum, hope you don't mind CMWfan?
or . . . bergie . . . .

There was one DOS, there won't be another, and if there was , I'd start over again. You are cheating by leaving off from where Bergie locked it, and Bergie's probably gong to lock this too. BTW I'm not mentioning a number.

Guys! Please let this die quickly as we are trying to mend the fences. I have no issues as to what you guys are doing but Bergie is trying to keep the forum from imploding.

Ok Fergmiester I see your point, but all I wanted was to exchange some not so strickt modelrailroad chat with someone who asked me something, maybe a lot of this issues could be resolved by some kind of a chat possibility, or maybe I could better back off a bit
thanks and see yall around !

Do you think Bergie locked the DOS thread because if it reached 1000 it would have crashed the system?

"Would you believe a little humor" has over 1100, so it wouldn't seem that was it. I could be wrong though.

Like, leopards have Spots, man...

Now on the serious side, Do all Topics really Require a topic or a subject or a point, there is not problem with the "Woukd you believe a little humor" thread at Trains.com, but, I believe bergie Had a problem with people osting jsut Simple Numbers, like one post read 934, another, 935,

Guys, where is the community spirit in jsut posting numbers?

Thats most likely why he locked it..

In this thread we are getting some form or anohjter of communication, and so far It is working out, Just if i was you, i'd drop the number thing.

But that's up to you

Todays word of the day is: Gorilla.

But i would still like to remind you that, If you don't feel you can enter a topic without being like this [:(!] maybe you shouldn't reply at all, Everyone should know that not every topic will have a valid point, Hell, next topic we might want to start debating Astro Physics!

Ok..no..booooooooooooo

Just hit the back button and don't reply, it saves everyone from getting all snarly and defensive.

I think some of y'all might have missed some of the point--Lupo and I were just having a little fun about the locking of the DOS thread. I had asked him a question and thru the DOS thread we had a dialogue and then it was locked. So I came to this thread to continue the dialogue and we had a little fun with the number thing--no harm or ill will intended to anyone. By the way, "gorilla." Hi Kevin and hello Lupo!

Hi lupo, I e-mailed Bergie today about his action, and ask him to unlock the DOS and at least let us get to 1000. NO DICE, THE FORUM AIN"T FOR THIS SORT OF NONSENSE!!!!! Please check out the posting going on over at the topic entitled "The DOS". It seems that all it takes is for 3 or 4 people to gripe enough and the topic gets shut down. It seems that Europe isn't the only place where folks have trouble expressing themselves freely.[V][V][V][:(!][:(!][:(!][banghead][banghead][banghead][soapbox][soapbox]
