Check out the Detroit and Mackinac... It was nicknamed "The Turtle Line" back in the day. Early heralds included the image of a turtle. I think the nicknamed was coinde because Mackinac means turtle in the native language. Or maybe it was just slow.

You know that was a great lil layout. Simple enough for the beginner, scenicly interesting, and had room for expansion.

Do you mean a train where the cars have pictures of turtles on them? Or a train where the engine and cars actually have the shape of turtles?
I would get flat cars, and then go to a toy store and get little rubber turtles to put on them.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
