Wow, Mike, that’s quite a hobby. When I was younger I had an absolute fascination with tractors! I got many tractor rides and driving experiences in almost every place I when that had a tractor.
Am I still get a bit excited at the sight of such nice tractors! I love the look of the orange one! Though I like the green of John Deeres is nice but a bit of variety always draws more attention!

I think it's cool that of the few responses that we've had so far to the "what's your more unusual hobby" question, three of them have been role-playing games.
I wonder if there's more of an overlap between that hobby and model railroading than one might think. Both hobbies, after all, involve creating an imaginary world to your liking, and controlling what goes on inside its confines.
(And where do those two hobbies overlap? I'm writing a game supplement for Champions that includes rules for what happens if a battle takes place in a rail yard and superhumans start blasting tank cars and throwing locomotives around. For Kevin's benefit: A typical modern diesel has DEF 5, BODY 20.)

Steve, for what it's worth as an observation, I ended up not ordering some books through the parent website the other day as the combination of a lot to ship a couple of books coupled with waiting one or two weeks didn't seem reasonable in this day of ship it overnight and I know we're only a couple of days away from your home base either by USPS, the courier services. I have no idea where you actually keep stock or how your company does fulfilment (I suspect Mr. Quadracci is involved - one of our clients). If you participate in management discussions or have a suggestion box, you might float the purchase/shipping thing. I buy lots of the books when I find them but getting them direct would be easier if it was a more efficient process. (if I've overstepped and you need to delete this, no problem). J.R.

Ramu was the male tiger, him weightd in at 400 pounds. (The girls are only 300# Each)
Apparently Ramu was suffering from cancer, and as a matter of fact he did not look all that welll last fall. They put him down in December, but I only found out about it when I went to the zoo yestarday, and he was not in his enclosure. They had even redmoved his sign from the wall.

Br. Lion, very sorry to hear about Ramu. He was a beautiful kittie (Well rather large but still a cat!). It is always sad to lose a friend and I know you liked him out at the zoo... I thought you volunteered out there?
My house renovation is coming along nicely but far from finished. If I get a chance I will post some photos of what is going on.
Planted the rest of the Milkweed plants I bought. Had 6 left after making two good sized planting on my property. The last ones I put by a fence near the house. The ones I put in last week appear to be doing well.
I have my Doctor's check-up tomorrow. I already looked over the bloodwork. Everything is in the good range as far as I see. My A1c is..... (drumroll please) 5.0! Yep 5.0. The doc may reduce the Janumet I take for diabettes. He mentioned that last time if it stayed down in the 5.3 area last time I saw him..... Hopefully my blood pressure will also be the best it has been in years too. (I hope)...

One of mine is an album by Blodwyn Pig called, "Getting to This." I liked it from the first time I heard it. It's still one of my favorites.

I used to do Bonsai. Never was able to get anything to look impressive. If you run out of things to do in D.C. the National Arboretum has a great bonsai exhibit.

Good Morning All,
A regular and a blueberry donut please Zoe. Found another shorted turnout last night on the run around for the classification yard. At least I know what to do about it now. The run around is essential because it is the only yard track long enough to drop even the short consists I plan on running.
Music? Actually I liked Bloodwyn Pigs "Ahead Rings Out" better but all three albums were good. My musical tastes are pretty universal ranging from Western Swing to surf music to early jazz but I am a child of the 60's so my favorite lesser known favorite albums were Moby Grape (their self titled first album) and Man (Deke Leonards first band). Not a bad track on either. I was very active and in the union from the 60's through the 80's before I made the choice to go racing and ended up playing everything from power trio rock and roll to country music complete with steel guitar and fiddle.
Steve - I wasn't trying to wind you up, I'd just like my host to live long and prosper as the Vulcans put it.
Loading day today as we are at Lime Rock Park this weekend as we start about 5 weekends in a row. Good thing I like to travel. Hopefully next week the doc will clear me to drive again. Chow, J.R.

Headed to Omaha (about two hours away) to see granddaughter graduate from preschool. I love preschool graduations -- they only last three minutes. Other grandchildren live too far away to see very regularly.

Another trip to Nashville yesterday.... I had a medical appointmnet and Vanderbilt. .. We visited my wife's family including her Mom in Long Term Care.
Rescued a ktten..... Good deed of the day yesterday..... Poor little kitten was curled up in a ball next to my wife's sister's house. Brother-in-law called animal rescue place. They were open, and we took the little animal there. It was about three weeks old, and it may have been near starving to death. We were told a vet would look at the kitten. ... I hope the kitten survived through the night.
