You can use 1/4 or 1/2 watt instead. Also, if you're searching for 2200 they're usually listed as 2.2k

The Article calls for a 2200 Ohms, 1/8 W Resistor, part  #292-2.2K from All Electronics.  I checked on line at www.allelectronics.com, but no resistor of these specifications or part number exists.  Please advise.

Try another online electronics supplier like Mouser.  It should not be difficult to find a resistor of those characteristics... or components for a series or parallel combination capable of the necessary heat dissipation.

eBay has 100 of them for $8.99 at the time this was posted: search on
