BroadwayLion

EVERYBODY has dead mice around the house. That is my goto source for super fine wire. Just cut off the mouse's tail, open it up and there is your super fine wire.

DON'T toss that dead mouse yet, there are optical detectors in there. Maybe you can figure a way to use them on the railroad.

Salvage all of the parts, soon you will have more parts than you know what to do with.

ROAR

But mister Lyon my mice have no tails.

I received the #28 super flex wire today and the flexibility is almost unbelievable.  It has a slightly larger OD than I expected but the flexibility makes up for the .04” OD wire.  The #30 super flex OD is .021”.  I wired up the phosphor/bronze .02” wheel wipers with the #28 and everything works great.  The voltage drop between the wheels and the 630ma load measures .013 volts.  Good wiper contact to the wheels.

The wire is very flexible and presents little or no drag on the Athearn trucks.
