We'll only know if I'm right when the IM1000 is tested with these numbers,that is when the gentleman tryes them and if he cares reporting the results to us.I don't own one of these decoders so I'm guessing.

Actually what happens right now is that the decoder is using both F5 functions (FX5 & FX5B) thus the number boards and the flashing ditch light (left I believe) do come on together though with a different effect.They are still linked together by the decoder's software because mapping isn't correct yet.FX5B has to be mapped together with FX6 so that FX5 (board lights) becomes independent from F6,and so doing would have both ditch lights controlled by F6.
The way I understand it,these should be the right numbers:
F5 CV39=2 F6 CV40=36 should get the mapping right.
Then the effects:CV51=15 CV52=169 (for LED) CV53=185 (for LED)
The IM1000 decoder is a special one the has the extra F5B & F6B functions that other regular Tsunamis don't have yet.They don't have the physical connections nor the CV to support these features but I'd bet they'll become a standard feature on future generations of Tsunamis.The CVs are already in the manuals.
If I recall, the instructions said the ditch lights have to be treated as two separate functions to flash alternately. They apparently work now as you wanted them to work. I'm not sure how you would get them to both work on the same function key. You are on your own there. You might want to remap the number board lights to some other function key if possible. Or just let them come on with the ditch lights. I'm actually surprised the number board lights don't also flash the way you have it programmed. Maybe you could just program the number boards to come on with the headlight. The problem as I see it is you only have so many functions, and the ditch lights take up two of the available functions. Your decoder likely has four lighting functions. And the headlight and backup light are two, and the ditch lights take up the other two.
I'd like to help but can't come up with numbers differing from the ones I posted in my last reply.I'm not sure they're any good but suspect they are.Since it seems you haven't tried them,they aren't proven wrong either.Might as well give them a try,the decoder can be re-written to the current values should they fail.
BTW CV43=8 (F9,manual control of engines fans).

CV 43 to 128 CV 51 to 42 CV 52 to 57, or try 58 CV 60 to 6, 0 to 15 is the range, and controls how long they continue to flash after horn stops CV 59 to 6, 0 to 15 is the range, and controls the flash rate. As another poster said, you can always just reset to the default settings and start over.

I programmed the decoder to these CV's. Now the left dight light comes on with the F6 function and the right with the F5 function along with the numberboards, but when the horn is blown the ditch lights do flash as I have wanted though. Any thoughts on getting both ditch lights to work on the F6 key? And no, the numberboards do not flash.
I have an Intermountain ES44AC that came with factory installed Soundtraxx Tsunami IM-1000 . The lights are all LED. I have not changed any of the wiring. F5 is for the number board and F6 is for the ditch lights. In order to get the ditch lights to flash and alternate, I programmed CV52 = 143 (glow on/off) and CV54 to 185. I'm sure you could use a value of 169 (simple on/off) for CV52 and it should work.
I would have to take off the sheel to see how they wired the ditch lights at the factory.

I think I finally understood how it goes but then I'm not really sure.Since I don't have one of these decoders,all I can say is theory.
Soundtraxx's instructions should be a little more "in depth".Here's what I believe the settings should be for this particular decoder.<
F5 CV39=2 Controls the number board lighting.
F6 CV40=36 (or 4+32) 4=FX6 (CV52) and 32=FX7=FX5B (CV53)
CV52=41 (169 with LEDs)
CV53=57 (185 with LEDs)
These settings should have ditch lights turned on steady with F6 then have them flashing alternatively when using the horn.However,Soundtraxx don't say if this particular decoder supports this but since the ditch lights are wired on different pins,there's a fair chance it will work.

Do you want to experiment a little?You could always reset the decoder (CV30=2) if it messes things up.
CV51 usually controls one ditch light while CV52 controls the other.On this model,they elected to use CV51 for number boards and then use CV52 & 53 to control the ditch lights (GEVO version).
I believe you have the 645 Turbo version but still,if the ditch lights are wired separately to pin 4 and pin 6,as it seems to be,then the following numbers MAY work,even if not stipulated for the specific decoder.It may be an oversight in the instruction sheets.Not much to lose anyway.
I'd try these and have my fingers crossed...CV52=169.......CV53=185.Hope it works.....
Well...I had assumed that all Tsunami 1000 series were created equal function wise.I gave numbers that work with both AT and KT types and hadn't checked this one.It not only wires differently,it programs differently too...my mistake.

Intermoutain HO CSX SD 40-2 Diesel EMD 645 Turbo . The working LED ditch lights are factory wired together (Pin 4). Therefore CV 52 controls hyperlight effect for both ditch lights. Thus with only one controlling CV for both ditch lights you can program the ditch lights to flash but cannot have alternating flashing ditch lights.

Try these numbers...
CV39=6 CV40=0 CV51=169 CV52=185
Ditch lights should turn constant on or off with F5 and blink alternatively for a while when using horn.Settings may differ but I think this is what you want.If not,you'll have to be more specific.

I've tried fooling with this for a few hours with no luck. I have a IM CSX SD40-2 I just installed a Tsunami IM1000 decoder into. The problem I have is that I cannot get the ditch lights to flash. With my tinkering with it I managed to get one to flash with the horn being blown, but not both.
So the question is, what CV's do I need to change and to what value? The Intermountain's have LED ditch lights on them as that is for consideration too. Thanks for the help!
