Mark R.

According to the parts diagram ....

http://www.rapidotrains.com/manuals/GMD1%201900%20Explode.pdf

.... the speaker mounts on top of the motor (part #134). They must be using an I-Phone type speaker and sound chamber. (?)

Mark.

I see. It is a very special one. Makes sense because Rapido makes some very proud statements about it's Loksound/speaker comination and sells them as a bundle ( http://www.rapidotrains.com/decoders.html ).

Mark, thanks found the email

ps. Where does Rapido mount the speaker? A rectange one on top of the drive under the long hood or a round one in the tank?

I have the full CV list for the GMD-1 Loksound decoder if you need to glean any specific CV values from it in regards to motor control and function assignments.

I used the contact function on their web site. Got an answer to allow them some days to answer due to manpower shortage.... Anyhow thanks for looking too.

ESU Lokpilot settings for GMD-1
Posted by faraway on Friday, August 29, 2014 10:39 AM

Rapido writes on the web page:

  1. ESU has made a GMD-1 function mapping which can be downloaded into their non- sound decoder (54615) so that the function buttons and motor control are exactly the same as our factory-released sound versions. This is available for download on the GMD-1 page in the Support section of our web site. You will need an ESU LokProgram- mer to write the function mapping to the 54615 decoder. If you don’t have a LokPro- grammer, you can adjust CVs in the usual way.

Problem is I can not find the refered file containg the function mapping (CV settings) or any other info how to setup the Lokpilot for the GMD-1. Did you find the GMD-1 specific file to be used with the LokProgrammer?

ps. I have a GMD-1 in DC version and an ESU 54615 on order and want to be prepared for setup when they arrive.
