 ok i have a new athearn genesis sd60m and i just want to get it runing on dcc what plug should i use on  the board?

 Get a TCS T1A (no harness) and plug it into the 9 pin plug after removing the dummy plug.

 lol thanks for the pics that 60m looks nicer than mine i got home and took it out of the box and teh hand rail on the fron and back were broke im getting a smokey valley kit for it eventually

 the T1A is a 2 function decoder now if i got the T4 witch has 2 extra functions would you be able to do isolating ditch lights?

Yes, The T4X is a good decoder for this.  This setup will allow you to use the original board later for a sound decoder.
