As for filiment size:

I also buy cheap optic fibres from "Two Dollar" shops in Australia. The cheap fibre optic lamps are $3 and have about 100 fibres in green blue and red and white. They are very thin though approximately .5 to 1mm but do work very well. They are very flexible. However if you follow this link http://www.oakridgehobbies.com/g_scale/g_90a.html They have all sorts of optical fibre, tube and sheet.
Cheers
Jim.
I get some from surplus cutsie stuff at my local dollar stores. Often it's very thin (in diameter), but around Christmas there is usually a better selection.
There are online vendors BTW.
The mind is like a parachute. It works better when it's open. www.stremy.net
I see that many on here use fibre for lighting. Where do you guys get your fibre optics cable from and is 1.5mm the best size to use?
Thanks in advance
