Macbmac1,
Possibly the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO, can help you on this question. Have you tried there ? Their URL is:
http://www.crrm.org
They might even have a publication for sale that discusses the "Exposition Flier."
Another route would be to contact the NMRA's Kalmbach Memorial Library KALMLIB@aol.com and ask them to research it for you . You could also ask the library to make a copy of the article I found via a title search at the Index of Magazines..
"The Flyer passes a freight," Trains, January 1945, page 36, Exposition Flyer at Somonauk, Illinois photo story ( CB&Q, "GRIFFITH, L. E.", PHOTO, STREAMLINER, TRN )

I am trying to model the Rio Grande's "Exposition Flyer", c. 1941, and am having some trouble with the cars' colors. From what I can determine, the cars are black, with silver window trim, and yellow lettering. Any help is surely appreciated.
Thank you for all considerations,
Mike
