New Layout - Pics of benchwork

As promised - As you can see , I also did cut outs in the 1x4s to also cut down on the weight and also a good place to route wire to keep it up out of the way.
A little history - when I saw Malcohm Furlows small HO urban railroad featured in MR Magazine, it blew me away. This railroad (which I am calling the RIVER RAT RR) is a take off on that one. Its some what larger but will also have two yards, one on each end and continuous running with a modified double track mainlline. Its the smallest layout I could design with continous running and still keep the curve radius decent.
Thanks for all your coments,
DON

Neat, clean workmanship.
Notice how the grid of the benchwork looks a little like the grill on the truck!

Ok, I get it now. Looks neat. Have you decided on a height yet? Will it be placed into a corner?

Thanks for the nice comments. will be HO! Track plan pretty simple since it is a small layout that will be going in a small bedroom! No basements in Florida! lol
yep will be going in a corner . wiill still have some room to move around. Have some chairs etc. dosen't block the bedroom closet doors.
Hight will be about 40 to 45 inches I think.

Nice bench work ,but one thing I don't see is the legs to the bench work. Are you going to put them later once you determined the height? The foam looks pretty thick ,what size is it ? also where did you purchased it from?
