not all switches with the same frog number are the same size. So you should find templates for the manufacturer of the switches you plan on using.

And remember to make sure your printer is set for 100% in the preferences. Most printers default to 96% of actual size of the printout. That kind of messes up your figuring on placement.

If the templates for the exact turnouts you want aren't available, get one of each of the actual turnouts and use your scanner or a copy machine to make copies of them.
Fast Tracks has PDFs available for all their switches. They all meet NMRA standards. If you know what brand switches you are going to use, then use that manufacturer's templates.
If you don't yet know or plan to hand lay your turnouts, use the Fast Tracks templates.
