Is there somewhere on-line I can print out actual size diagrams of #4, #5 and #6 HO switches?

Hi,

You don't mention what brand of switch you have in mind.

Here is one template for Shinohara code 83 sold by Walthers:

Atlas also has a track planning template assortment: http://www.trainsetsonly.com/page/TSO/PROD/150-361

Fast Tracks has PDFs available for all their switches. They all meet NMRA standards. If you know what brand switches you are going to use, then use that manufacturer's templates.

If you don't yet know or plan to hand lay your turnouts, use the Fast Tracks templates.

If you’re going to need drawings of the Atlas #6 Custom Line turnouts I made a CAD drawing of both right and left.  I made the drawing when I was making my double crossover from Atlas turnouts.  The drawings are within 1/32” and posted on my Google drive as a full size PDF.

If the templates for the exact turnouts you want aren't available, get one of each of the actual turnouts and use your scanner or a copy machine to make copies of them.

And remember to make sure your printer is set for 100% in the preferences. Most printers default to 96% of actual size of the printout. That kind of messes up your figuring on placement.

not all switches with the same frog number are the same size.  So you should find templates for the manufacturer of the switches you plan on using.
