Saweeeeeeeeet. That was more helpful than you probably thought it was. It also made things a little more interesting for me. Now I have to decide on which rail to use where. I was contemplating code 40 rail untill I noticed that code 40 rail is equal to prototypical 40# rail. I thought that was kind of ironic in a neat way untill I realized 40# rail probably counldn't hold much more weight hand speader...maaaaaaaybe a caboose, long as it's empty.

Well before I got too deep into replanning my layout for HO scale, up from N, I tried to remember about scale track. All I could remember was teh code deciphering. What would be the prototypical rail weight of code 100 (8.7"), 83 (7.2"), 70 (6.1"), 55 (4.8").
