I second those words from tomikawaTT :
For that matter, substructure construction and electricals are pretty much the same in every scale, and those seem to be the things where most folks are looking for help. Likewise, a good track plan in N scale would be equally good in HO, S, O or 1:12 live steam.
all true!!

There was a running N-scale thread in the General Discussion forum, which was quite active for a while. Then it sort of faded away. Not to feel bad, though - attempts at strictly HO threads shriveled up and died within days.
Since I model a REAL minority scale (twice-N, 1:80, aka HOj) and a foreign prototype to boot, I don't see any value in trying to compartmentize myself and ignore what's being done in other scales. Likewise, a good track plan in N scale would be equally good in HO, S, O or 1:12 live steam.
By all means, if you find a good N scale forum, join it. But don't abandon this, "Every scale welcome," forum.

Both Nscale.net and nscale.org are good. I found them by doing a seach on N-Scale in google.
