Winter is more than just cold, snow and ice...

If your live in zone 6 or higher, there’s no excuse for not having a winter garden.

More than half of my garden is in blossom or green and I’m at the cold end of zone 7 (7a in N. Va.).

Daisies do remarkably well in winter

as do sub-shrubs

and conifers

Ferns and mosses thrive and are at their peak

and winter heather even blooms!!!!!!

No snow, no ice.  Few evergreens, just the butterfly bush and the yarrow are green.  Seems I'll have to make an adjustment to the plant plotter for next year.

Here is a current pic- see if you can spot the chicken and Spliff the Wonder Cat.
