My Grandfather had a neighbor who had a garden railyard in his back yard (w/o the garden). I am trying to find out what scale it must have been. From what I remember the Box Cars were about 1.5 to 2 foot in length. Which could be any where from 1/20 to 1/30 in scale? I would love to know what size this is. He could not ride on it so that would be smaller then 1/8 scale. Also where is a good place to buy larger the G scale trains? I don't know much of anything about the train market in larger then O scale.
Thanks
Ryan

Thanks for the info...
I will be up in my Grandfathers neck of the world within the next month. I will have to take a picture if the track is still set up and measure the gauge of the track. The above info is from memory of which the neighbor setup the trains in the mid-80's. The track was still there as of last year, I think his son was running them now.
