A number of my locomotives have crossing bell sounds and i can trip them off approaching a crosing but alas i do not have a crossing!
Is it the Coriolis affect that you get where the sound a bell makes is different approaching it as opposed to departing from it?
Rgds ian
Yes mate your right it is doppler affect i was thinking of. Coriolis i think i something else al together different to do with the rotation of the Earthg maybe.
But wouldn't it be nice to have on your crossing bells?
Rgds Ian
Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?
Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.

FYI, they are referring to the grade crossing ones, not on the engines. The newer grade crossing bells are electronic, instead of a real bell.
Yes i knew what was meant about this matter.
