A new look for the Bachmann 45ton diesel

Wow. It's been a long project, but I finally finished it up today and took it out on the maiden voyage around the layout.

I did reuse the trucks, but ended up taking the siderods off. I was also able to re-use the grills, steps, air tanks, smoke stacks, as well as some piping. Most of the rest is scratchbuilt, but I did buy some headlights!

More pictures and a log of my construction can be found over at http://www.jbrr.com/

I'm quite pleased with the results.

Wow, nice work! It looks as good as a commercial product.

Very nice work. That is a convincing model and one that will be a great addition to the roster. Now if I could only con you out of it..................................

Bruce:

Anytime you want to send it out to the west coast for a test run, just let me know. Awesome. I just looked at the pic's in your construction log, will read it later. Thanks for sharing.

That's very professional looking. I would have never know that it was a Bachmann 45 tonner without you telling us.[:D]
