Hi fellows,
I was fortunate to obtain 3 Marklin tin plate coaches 1:32 scale in LMSR livery (thats the British line), that are said to have been made about 1940......
These are great coaches that will make a train that will fit into my railway just fine. [8D]
What I need is some more of these coaches....so....if anyone has any, or know of any, that can be purchased for a good price...[:)]...please let me know....[^][^]
best regards, Nelson[

Best of luck - those are very rare indeed now. I'd advise keeping an eye on ebay along with any real-world auctioneers in your part of the world. I'd guess that not a lot of 1940 Marklin survives today - there would have been a lot of anti-German feeling then so sales in the UK would not have been brisk (the fact that Marklin were, in real terms, priced at the same level as brass locos are today would have meant that few were sold anyway), stock remaining in Germany would probably have been seriously mauled by both bombing and the later ground warfare.
Marklin have revived their Gauge 1 range in recent years but the models are now mostly German with a few American prototypes. Prices are still high however - the digital starter set costs more than some cars!

Hi spur42
Good luck is all I can say.
If it was me I would aquire any other brand tin plate coach that looks all
right with them and can be coupled to them even if it was German marklin
regards John
