Hey Ya'll
I have planned to build a 0-4-2T based on a winnign photograph in Garden Railways December issue. I have Bachmann potor chassis (got two of them from a parts sale at Hobby Shop in Conway) I have made the cab and bunker for them and I am using pvc pipe for the boilers, However, I would like to find 2 chimneys like the one on that locomotive in the photo graph, where can I find one?

Check Trackside Details < http://www.rctrains.com/Trackside%20Details.htm > or Ozark Miniatures < http://www.ozarkminiatures.com/ > and see if they have anything that would fit the bill. If you're looking to put such a stack on a live steam loco, then don't bother with Ozark, as the heat of the loco will melt the white metal castings they use. Trackside casts mostly in brass, so you should be fine.
You may also have some luck with Accucraft. I don't know that they have a stack shaped like that, but they do sell brass stacks as well.
Another option--and less obvious--is to go to a flea market of antique store and look for old doorknobs. A small funnel would be another opiton. I've seen small funnels shaped like that in plastic, so again, if heat isn't an issue, you're golden.
Later,

Hey Ya'll
Thanks for that advice Kevin. It will be an electric model and I am going to tackle the
0-4-2T first.
I gave the foldout plan sets 67 and 68 from Garden Railways and I gave them to my shop teacher. I told him about my project and asked him if he could build them for me.
I asked him earley this morning and he has turned out the short reefer and the short flatcar and he will have the short gondola (he is building 3 of these) to me tommorow.
I have ordered the nessesary parts (bachmann wheel sets and couplers)
for the cars and I am going to put them on when I get home. (They arrived this morning).
I only ordered the nessesary parts, and I will add extras later.
I helped him paint them and the flatcar and the reefer turned out nice (the reefer was naarow gauge red, the flat car was brown)
I have sractchbuilt a caboose out of posicle stick left over from a school poject and It is almos finished. I think I am addicted to scratchbuilding. But, the coast to build these were relativley cheap ( I spent less than ten dollars on each car).
Know, I can enoy the hobby cheaply. My neaxt goal is to scractchbuild a freelance 2-8-0 based on a C21.
