I'm curious if I am "snake-bit" or if Bridgewerks is WAY overrated. I thought I was buying the best but let me summarize:

MAG-15 - 12V DC output didn't work...broken wire inside
UR-15 stopped working after 1 month
Repaired UR-15 virtually no range...item returned
Repaired UR-15 couldn't find anything wrong...item returned
NEW UR-15 sent...died after 1 week
RC-100 3 ft. range
TDR-25 - Displays don't work, unit smoked on the bench w/no load and fan doesn't work.

The folks at Bridgewrks are VERY nice people and have been very helpful in getting the units repaired/replaced.....However, it has cost me a small fortune in FEDEx not to mention the trouble/time for returning these items. I can only say that their overall quality does not meet the Malcom Baldridge criteria.

Just curious anyone else has seen similar problems.

I have a Mag 15 and the URC remote and have had no problems at all with them . I use mine almost every day. I'm sorry to hear of your troubles and can relate to them. I had to send back a dash9 cuz it ran bad and a U@A streamliner coach cuz the light strip was broken and laying on the top of the seats. Hope you get it straitened out.

You aren't alone mate, when you get into more complex things some organisations exceed their ability and don't realise it.

I am convinced that LGB is the most expensive and the best but the problems I have had with their MTS, makes your problems look very minor. In fact there have been so many i can't list them here, incredible in range and not fixed first time either.

I placed the order for the components to get going in MTS costing around US$1,800, around late November 2003 and now five months later its still not working properly. During those five months it has only been in full use for about ten days. We don't use Fedex here much, more Australia Post and it has been expensive as well, its all quite incredible. Right now the points (switches) part of the sytem is not working, wonderful when it does but very unreliable.

Keep going and we may both prevail

My Bridgewerks Magnum S, 15 amp has been outside for about 2 years. Usually covered with a plastic container....save for a couple of times [rain]....let it dry out and no problem.

It is durable and still works great. I have never had a problem with mine despite it's cruel treatment...

A plus in my book.
