Chuff Synchronization ( K-27 )
Posted by mudhen on Thursday, July 10, 2008 5:52 PM

No replies on my last post, but a lot of you read it. I went ahead and did the Air Wire 9000, Phoenix P5, and battery install anyway and it almost works perfect. Except for the chuff synchronization. As far as I can tell I have to move some or add two wires and re-solder to the dummy circuit board to make it work. Has anyone done this change yet ?. Help at this part of the installation would be most appreciated. Looking forward to getting the proper 4 beats per revolution.

I put an AirWire and P5 on an Accucraft C-16. For syncronization, I put a reed switch on one of the tender trucks and connected that to the P5.

To new of a engine. For me I would call Ole C (Dave).

He is the only one I know of who (as I feel) mastered the dam thing.
