Tell me what you have in mind and I'll check through my books and magazines. I saw a speeder shed, elevated shanty, engine house, and many different stations for starters. You might want to start with a local warehouse or freight station as a start. I've been meaning to draw an open air station similar to the ones that ran in my area. I
also just finished drawing a small hotel from some old photos but that may be something for you to think about later. While it only measured 30' x 36' (less boardwalk) that is 18" x 20" (+/-).
Have you thought about scale? While my trains are not all the scale, I have been trying to focus on 1:20.3 but not strictly. Buildings and people closer to the forground get more attention and better detail.
Neiler:
Let's make that 1:24 scale.........seems that may be OK for use with G-Scale.
Thanks for your help!
I have wondered about the 1:24 scale....if it would be compatable with the G-Scale trains...
There seems to be lots of things available for dioramas in 1:24 scale.....not a whole lot of stuff available in G-Scale.
Thanks for the advice! That sounds like a great plan to me. I can actually do the scaling at 1/2"=1'....I can use an architects scale for that. SUPER!!!
....and thanks for all the links. Looks like I may have some work ahead of me....THANKS!
First work of advice - go with 1:24 scale. It will make the math much easier (1/2" = 1") and the scale difference is negligible.

The scale I need is 1:22.5.
Thanks!
W O W....yes. That would be very nice of you, Neiler!
I would like to build a structure that is common....maybe a simple house/warehouse structure....something that I can use as a basis for the scaling of other structures.
I think I can print the pdf file at school...on my laser plotter.
I realized last night that I really need to get to work on a structure of some sorts.....my wife said she wanted to help build some structures.....I need THAT help.
I will look forward to the pdf file.......
The Gazette has had plans for a number of buildings over the years. What do you want to build? I can scale up images to 1:20.4 or 1:22.5 if you need. These could be sent as pdf's to be printed at a Kinko's or Office Depot, OfficeMax etc.
Let me know.

Hello!
Does anyone know of an online place where I can print plans for a g scale structure....any structure? I think I can scratchbuild all my structures if I can get the first one built to scale.
The railroad I am beginning will be an outside one in Kentucky....all types of weather!
I suppose my first project should be to get a shed (or engine house) for my engine and railroad construction equipment....then hopefully the town will evolve.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
