It's missing the oiler linkage but appears to have the holes drilled for it. Linkage is pretty cheap and readily available, so it would be a snap to replace it.

I like the side gear. But I guess it's kinda fragile for kids to play with. That's why so many are broken off. The MTH S2 has a pretty nice side gear (on the one that has it) and so do the two Lionel scale S2s. I don't have a Williams S2 (yet). I plan on one for the future though.
