Bob : I think a person could put a little slot down a little ways under the top & insert a little steel plate for the Magnet on the crane to pick up !! Even a steel screw from the bottom up could work !!

I just love these Trainman Gondolas. You can find them nicely discounted and combined with a realistic load like these "Baled Scrap Metal" loads from Trainloads.com, they really stand out.
I picked up my 1st, a CR gondola at the York meet and liked it so much I had to get some more.
Many of the trains I watched so many years ago were headed in or out of the Bethlehem Steel Sparrow's Point plant. Loads of scrap were a common sight.
