Atlas Trainman Gondolas
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, May 12, 2007 11:10 AM

I just love these Trainman Gondolas. You can find them nicely discounted and combined with a realistic load like these "Baled Scrap Metal" loads from Trainloads.com, they really stand out.

I picked up my 1st, a CR gondola at the York meet and liked it so much I had to get some more.

Many of the trains I watched so many years ago were headed in or out of  the Bethlehem Steel Sparrow's Point plant. Loads of scrap were a common sight.

It's too bad those bales are plastic.  It would be nice to have individual steel bales that a magnet crane could load and unload.

Several of us think [almost know] that Atlas is going to give the toy train market a run for its money.  New catalog has train sets and steamers.  Got three levels of products.  All top notch.  I think you will see Lionel and Atlas take a lot of the market.  Sorry MTH lovers but Mike will slide. [not cutting his product, just fact]

Bob : I think a person could put a little slot down a little ways under the top & insert a little steel plate for the Magnet on the crane to pick up !!  Even a steel screw from the bottom up could work !!

Thanks, John
