I tried using the .110 size stab-on and they were way to tight and after searching around abit I found Amp .125 size stab-on and they fit wonderfully.

mouser has them for 17 cents each, 100 for $15.  execpt they are only 22-18 gauge but I use all 18 gauge for my jumpers anyway.  could not locate this size in 14-16 gauge.  I still think this is a metric lug though and if you had a soure to shop for metric electrical connectors it would be something around a 3mm connector, I just gave up on finding a metric source.

Update: Had Radio Shack get me a pack of 64-3132 per Dave's info.  They work just fine.  Are 0.187"  for 18-22 gauge wire.  Might be able to go with something smaller but these are just fine, and anything smaller might be a bear to get on/off.  Before starting this thread I called Lionel Tech service and they had no idea what size, or a source (other than their pre-wired). Thanks again.

1.5 millimeters is only 1/16 inch.  I don't have any of the track here; but that seems awfully small.  The smallest standard size that I know of is .110 inch, which is almost 3 millimeters.  That is my recollection of about how big the terminals are.  Can anyone measure one?  The standard sizes are .110, .187, .205, .250, and (I think) .398 (which I'm sure is much too wide).

take one to your local electrical supply house.  I belive they are 1.5mm female stab-on crimps.  you can buy a box of 100 for around $12.  I say take one because they may be a diffrent size then 1.5 mm but they can match it up.  These connector are sized by the with of the stab they fit on and by the wire size you wish to use them on.

While perhaps _slightly_ larger than the connector on the Lionel wire, RS # 64-3132 and 3134 (I forget which is which, but basically, they differ in what gauge wire they are meant for) will fit and mate to the tab under the FasTrack OK.

Other minor annoyance is that they come in male/female pairs, so you will either have unwanted mating connectors or something for your parts drawer.

Name and size of accessory connector for Lionel Fastrack???
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, January 4, 2007 10:58 AM
Does anybody know the technical name for/size of/source for the quick connector that attaches accessory wiring to the underside of Lionel Fastrack??  Local Radio Shack has that TYPE connector, but not in such a small size. Lionel sells pre-wired in catalog but would rather do myself if possible. Thanks.
