Stouffer's french bread pizza. Just tried some for the first time a few weeks ago and liked it. Bacon on pizza sounds great. I had a pineapple pizza once that was surprisingly good. I usually get pepperoni and extra cheese. I always ask the guy to cut the pizza into 4 pieces instead of 8. When he asks why, I tell him I could never eat 8 pieces...Tongue [:P]

Pink is not an approved color for post war 2025s OR 2400 series cars (talk about bad karma). Some 2037s? Yes. But that's it, Kurt!  Wink [;)] Shock [:O]

GOOD EVENING

Your going to need a pink CW-80 for that set. Pink track, pink lockon(for tubular),pink wire, and if freight, pink cobbose on a pink carpet.

Now I have no idea what I was going to say. I just left that "O" forum and those guys are rippin apart the new Atlas F units. Oh boy those guys need a hobby. They should be outlawed from owning three rail trains. I guess trashing everything new before it even hits the stores IS their hobby. Later all,,,,,,Sir James

Just finished washing the car in the garage while the kids watched The Wizard of Oz for the first time. They loved it and the car looks great. Not for long though. It's snowing here. Again. Slush and road salt await.

Bruce- I had a 1688E Restored for our famous Don Baker in Cerritos, California & he is very happy with it & Brent Leister also sent a 1688 my way to be restored as well. I can hardly wait to see the Photo's of your Trains too. Are you going to get the new Standard Gauge Trolley & Trailer that Lionel will be coming out with? I think that will be a very good seller for them. We'll see. Take Care & Merry Christmas to you & your family.

Keith,

Considering the cost of originals it looks as if I ever want to own a Lionel trolley it'll have to be a reproduction.  I was impressed to find out they are manufactured with an original type reversing switch rather than upgraded with an electronic E unit or such.  Might not be the greatest thing for operators but at least it looks authentic.  As with most of what I purchase I'll probably wait until I can see them in the flesh before I decide to purchase.  Still, they'd be a fantastic addition to the SG Christmas layout.

Come to think of it, I lied.  I bought a really nice #60 trolley last fall.  Short of a nasty little warp in the roof ( caused by the interior light ) it's in perfect condition.  After cleaning out the 50 year old grease and grime it runs like a champ.  Might have to buy some Super Streets track to dedicate to this sweet little bump 'n' go puppy Wink [;)]

Good afternoon all,

It is cloudy and cold in SE Indiana with temps in the 30s.  I have to take two of the vehicles in for oil changes today, and then go to the funeral home for the dad of some family friends.  I ran the Polar Express with the new car last night and went to the YMCA for some weights and track work.  There was wheat muffins and cereal on the dining car for breakfast this morning.  Have not heard from "Points East" for a few days.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Morning guys - hmmm, I need some coffee!  Stayed up too late watching the 2nd episode of Tin Man and then an old horror movie after kids went to bed.  Letting them stay up on their school break, but it's making me stay up even later.  Wife came out and made me go to bed when I was trying to have a little harmless fun flying my little helicopter.  I thought it was very quiet, but she said she could hear it and it woke her up Whistling [:-^]

Sir James - Chewy must have had too much to eat because she is still sleeping!

Watching Johnny Quest cartoons now, the good old ones from when I was a kid.  It's fun when the kids like the stuff I liked as a kid.  They have edited out a few things though :(  Everything is PC today.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Good Morning!

Well, I am heading back to Austin, TX. I had a great time in Lebanon, Ohio. I went to see the Cincinnati Museum and it was great to see some awesome train layout. I went to the A tower where you could see the entire CSX and NS Classification yard. It runs by Cincinnati Railroad Club. I would love to have a room with that kind of view. If you would like more info. their website: www.cincinnatirrclub.org

Now, I need to start thinking food...Chef [C=:-)]

Welcome back, Brent!!! Thumbs Up [tup]

Sweat that connection and sleep with peace of mind.

Socks and underwear for me on Christmas. All I got was one coal hopper, and it was from Mary's cousin! Oh, and a gift certificate to a local train store from her sister. No biggie. When I see something I want, I get it. And it won't be in the socks OR underwear isle!

Well I guess I can cancel my leave of absence from the board...

Never got the Christmas layout built, no time. [tdown]

Had a nice relaxing weekend with Susan, mostly spent time getting the house ready for Christmas guests, putting finishing touches on the bathroom (still have some to do - more on that later), and cleaning up from the construction.

Not much on the train side for Christmas this year. Got the Martinsburg Coal Mine for the big layout, 2007 Lionel Christmas Parade Aquarium car, two metal signs for the train room, DVD of that layout we've been talking about Diamond something or other - haven't watched it yet, book on C&O Steam Engines, and a print of the B&O EM-1 (now I have to get one to run on the layout)! Smile [:)]

As I was working on the Christmas Layout framing I determined that I need to keep the big layout at a MAX of 8ft wide... otherwise there is no room to navigate through the train room.  So now I'm working on trimming it down some.

So the bad news... as Christmas day was wrapping up Susan calls me into the kitchen... 'Look at that!' (pointing to the ceiling).  It seems there was a wet spot on the ceiling, right about where the shower drain would be located.  So I go upstairs and take the shower control knob off, pull out the flange, and notice the plug for the tub line is leaking! So I try tightening the plug and it doesn't help.  So turn off the water, remove the plug, wrap with more teflon tape, start to put it back in, and it falls inside the wall!  So now I have to open the wall in the toilet room to fetch the plug.  Get the plug, put it in, turn on water, everything looks good.  So I have been thinking about this and wondering if I should just sweat the plug and be done with it.  I will never have to install a tub supply since this is in a shower and the tub is seperate, and since the teflon tape has already failed once I think it would be best.

Wet morning in New England.  Rain turning to snow later this afternoon.

Spent time running HO trains with my boys last night. I might stop by Charles Ro and get them Henry the green engine, Thomas, and some coaches. Can an HO layout be far off?

I did stay up well past midnight last night. Not a problem. I'll sleep on the drive home. Zzz [zzz] Saw some Ebay auctions close out while I watched the Dirty Dozen. Then had some egg nog and a couple of turkey sandwiches. There goes the waist line!

John Bakeer, thank you for the kind words. Glad to hear that the Jumijo is a hit in Europe as well as the States. Thumbs Up [tup]

Evenin' All,

I am one pooped puppy tonite, gonna be in bed EARLY tonite. Up very early yesterday to do all the preps for turkey and my bread baking for family & friends dinner, after everyone left yours truly fell asleep on the couch watching the boobtube. Reclinerizing the couch so to speak. Sleepy [|)]

Santa scored a knockout with Thomas, James and Percy yesterday. When our grandson, 2 yr old, turned the transformers on and the Thomas gang came out of the tunnels his eyes got as big as saucers and all he could do was point. Big Smile [:D] But it didn't take long before all you could hear was their whistles as they went round and round. Approve [^]

Today was Kids Club Fun Run at the museum, the kids portion went well. Got in early to get ready but Murphy's Law (no offense Doug) was at max power. Angry [:(!]  For conventional operations we use 4 Z-4000's or you can use bricks with TPC's. Two of the 4 TPC's died, the Z-4000's with their handhelds were crossfeeding and all out of sync like crazy, but the ultimate catastrophe was when one of the track cleaning cars decided to derail on the lift bridge and catch fire. Thankgoodness we switched over to halon extingushers last year, otherwise there would have been one heck of a mess to clean-up. No damage, just a little soot and a few blue words in the air. Glad no one else was there. Dead [xx(]
