I don't keep up with TMCC, etc.  Maybe someone who does can answer.

Yes, but you will need a command base and CAB-1 as well as a serial data cable to control it. Manual is available for downlaod from the Lionel web site.

thre have been many posts about power to multiple blocks from two taps on the same transformer. the suggestions are usuall to use a single-pole-double-throw-center-off toggle switch for each block, to connect the block to either of two transformer outputs, or neither. does the lionel block controller do the same thing?
