This is early days stuff with black rails. The switches throw, and most of the lamps light up. Trying to come up with an idea...
Also got a loop of 0-27, and an LGB caboose.

Yeah, I guess if you told us you'd have to kill us and that would be awkward, to say the least! And VERY labor intensive!

so, I went to the train show. Picked up a 1952 Silver Streak and cars. Another K5, this one is a 313. A Bachmann PRR baggage car. And a large bulk of used G gauge track for cheap. I intend to remove the rails, and hand lay a 3 rail O gauge loop in the garden. Now I have the materials to proceed, when I get a
Round Tuit....
Got my new toys cleaned and serviced. Already earning their keep.
I seriously need to stop buying stuff, unless we get a bigger house.....
The Gilbert track with the black rail webs is 1946 only so it is not real common.
You could always just by a second house nearby for the trains.
I got a great deal on a complete Flyer set last year. It had a SIT 312 and cars. The rails were black, and I originally thought they were badly stained. Somewhere on the internet I saw that was actually a thing in the early years. A rare bit of history!
Yes, I'm loaded up with trains! And I keep saying " this will be the last one"....
