I've been going through and servicing my new additions. The Flyer 21165 just needed a little oil and some run time. Running great now. The Flyer 21160 Atlantic has been lubed and serviced. Repaired the trailing truck wheels. It runs well, but I need to order a new brush spring. Dated January 1958 in the shell. The Lionel 1645 runs well forward and reverse, but no headlight or smoke. There is a loose wire, and hopefully when I repair this, all will be good.

Yep, I love it ! Too much fun stuff out there!
Yeah, collections DO have a habit of growing like a fungus!
And we wouldn't have it any other way, would we?

This is early days stuff with black rails. The switches throw, and most of the lamps light up. Trying to come up with an idea... Also got a loop of 0-27, and an LGB caboose. I am not at liberty to reveal my sources....

American Flyer 20123 set
more tracks; I have enough track now to Really Do something.........
I got a great deal on a complete Flyer set last year. It had a SIT 312 and cars. The rails were black, and I originally thought they were badly stained. Somewhere on the internet I saw that was actually a thing in the early years. A rare bit of history!
Yes, I'm loaded up with trains! And I keep saying " this will be the last one"....
The Gilbert track with the black rail webs is 1946 only so it is not real common.
You could always just by a second house nearby for the trains.
Got my new toys cleaned and serviced. Already earning their keep.
I seriously need to stop buying stuff, unless we get a bigger house.....
so, I went to the train show. Picked up a 1952 Silver Streak and cars. Another K5, this one is a 313. A Bachmann PRR baggage car. And a large bulk of used G gauge track for cheap. I intend to remove the rails, and hand lay a 3 rail O gauge loop in the garden. Now I have the materials to proceed, when I get a
Round Tuit....

Yeah, I guess if you told us you'd have to kill us and that would be awkward, to say the least! And VERY labor intensive!
