Going threw it is 1/2 the fun. Find a thrift style store for anything good ( like Salvation Army, Goodwill etc, etc, etc. ) or little cool for yard sale but who knows.

The thought crossed my mind but if I start going through it I'll NEVER get through it!  However I AM keeping an eye out for charity thrift store donation candidates, Lady Firestorm says keep an eye out for glass ware, the local thrift shops always seem to be interested.

But so far, just useless unused in decades odds n' ends.

You see, earlier this year we helped a friend clean out her deceased mother's house and Mom was kind of a semi-hoarder.  She NEVER threw anything out although it was nicely boxed and containered.  What a pain, and we learned from the example.  Don't leave a mess for others to clean up.  We lost track of how many times we heard our friend's outburst:  "God-**** it, MOM!"

And that was ONE clean out, we've helped in three others over the past few years.  Although I'm not planning on "checking out" anytime soon I sure had the truism proved to me multiple times:  No matter what you've got, you can't take it with you.

I've started a new, exciting, fun-filled project!  Cleaning out the attic.  Hoo boy.

Took a good look a few days ago and there's stuff up there we haven't touched in the 35 years since we moved here.  That being the case out it all goes, I'm not even going to look at it twice.  However, like eating an elephant it's got to be done one bite at a time, so I did the first pull Tuesday and made a dump run yesterday.  Back up to the attic again today for another pull and another "What did we keep THIS for?" session.

Going threw it is 1/2 the fun. Find a thrift style store for anything good ( like Salvation Army, Goodwill etc, etc, etc. ) or little cool for yard sale but who knows. Good way to waste a Saturday. You may even get someone towards the end offer you something for everything left, might even at the beginning who know.

I just hate hearing someone not even looking and taking it to the dump where someone else might get use out of it.

But have been there done that except took it too goodwill.

Hey all we started out at 31* this a.m. going to 51* today.

Wife wants to go thrift store shopping today. Not my most favorite thing to do thou.

I keep having DR. appointments or having to go here or there and not getting done what I need to get done in the garage. ( insulation to protect her plants and give me a warm place to work on my trains. )

Hope all have a good dqay.

Good Morning

24 Shopping Days until Christmas ----- don't hate me, lol

34F this morning 42F later with Sun

Tested my new Polar Express LionChief 2.0 and it operates like it should.  So the new Christmas Village under the tree should be very cool.

MOST of the downstairs is clean, need to vacuum the family room and Grandma's room and that'll be done.  Hope to move furniture around to prep for tree and Christmas decorations.

Hope to have the Princess over for dinner as this is her day off, maybe steaks on the barbie....

That's all from here for now.

Mornin' guys and gals. Blustery across the Mountain State. Will have to go outside and gather trash cans and decorations when the sun comes up.

Wifey wanted her North Pole Village up, so that's how I spent yesterday. As this was a new version, struggled with the wiring and placement of structures. Hope to finish by noon.

BWAH-hahaha....LaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh
