Good Morning,

Now I understand, our activity calendar has today marked with circles, stars, and exclamation marks, but no explanation.  Now its clear, Chief's Birthday!!!  Haven't seen any announcements of parades, galas, and other elaborate events??  Something is amiss!!

HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!  CakeCake

Dennis, can't agree with you more!!  Fortunately, we aren't in the LAUSD area, but I wonder what % of property owners actually have school age children, pretty low I think.  Those with kids cant afford property, sad.  Also the funds are going into the "general fund".  Another boondoggle.

Things are normalizing around here, out of town relatives are returning home, so now the healing starts.

Home everyone has a great day, and stay safe.

Hello there,

some Mom errands and a visit yesterday. Then some mowing.

Decided to put digger on Gravely instead of wacking. Neighbor lady's garden is a bit wet but I'm going to make an attempt.

Today is Mrs last day of school. She applied for SS yesterday.

Best get to it.

Prayers for those who need them.

P.S. just in case. ....HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Buckeye

Good evening all,

Had first practice with junior high soccer team.  Went well.  Glad I am not in charge.  Work was busy.  Drove the Escape to work.  It went well.  Got MR and Trains today.  Not much time to look at them.  Having a good visit with oldest granddaughter as well.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Hello there,

Busy weekend over, still feeling a bit sleep deprived.

Up early Saturday to complete tuning the quad. Had good results. Brought home a 1st and 2nd place trophy. Machine is now on par with the rest. Wins and losses determined by reaction time or not bogging the engine. Got through 9 double elimination rounds with only 3 losses.

Took me til 2AM Sunday to get home, shower and bed. Made getting up at 6 for Mass a struggle. Then a decent day at the hillclimb Son was middle of the pack. Rain threatened but passed us by.   Capped the day with 12th Birthday party for grandaughter.

Best move on PT at 9:30

Prayers for those in need

Mornin' boys.  Much cooler and nicer today in the Potomac Highlands.  HVAC being replaced today, which will be nice.  Been without AC for a couple of weeks, and it has been difficult at times.

Youngest Princess all graduated now, and we had a nice visit with the family.  Unfortunately, I caught the little one's sore throat.  Woof.  Ate too much this weekend, so I gotta get back on the no-carb thingie.  Older grandson was bored, so Fifepops pulled out some plastic building kits, and we pre-painted the walls and stuff with a couple different colors of spraypaint.  He enjoyed learning the how-to's of painting, as well as clean-up.  We'll assemble the kits on his next visit.  He also wanted to know more about the USS Batfish (and the flooding around it).

Haven't posted for a couple of weeks.  We've been at our 'alternate location'.  Got the carb cleaned on the Wheel Horse tractor so it now runs without needing choke.  Finally got the rest of the leaves cleaned up too.

Back home Wednesday of last week.  Worked on the museum layout some more and got set up for last Saturday's train day at the museum.  Only had a dozen or so people show up - advertisements did not get out for this one.  We met another couple who have donated funding for the kid's train exhibit my wife and I have been working on.  Turns out that he has some American Flyer pieces that he is willing to donate as well.

This week will be spent catching up on projects around here and supporting the medical industry, as my wife and I both have doctors appointments.  Got the truck scheduled for maintenance and recall work too.

Got to get the travel trailer ready for the summer.  Needs a little plumbing and I need to install the back up camera I got a while back.  I'm planning on using the camera as an auxilary rear view mirror.

About all for now.

Good evening all,

Good to hear you are the mend, Roy.  Went to birthday gathering for 2 grandsons today.  Got to show off the new car.   Second Detroit race was a disaster for Foyt team as both cars were eliminated by first lap accident.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Hi guys,

Ultrasound, sucked! Been there and done that 11 years ago. So here we go again! Tongue Tied

Well after having this lane gate for around two years and waiting for some help digging the holes for the post,,,,,I gave up and called Julie last week to mark the phone lines and did it myself. Sandra and I like it. Won't stop anyone but does make a statement about coming down the lane.

Good evening all,

Lucas stopped in for a visit.  We went to see the late night session of Godzilla.  Wife wanted to see it.  It was predictable, but lots of action.  Watched some of the Indycar race at Detroit.  TK was 15th.  Hope for a better day on Sunday.  Watched Indy 11 win as well.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning all, June gloom has come to greet us on the first day of the month.  It will be cool and cloudy like this in the morning for a lot of the month.  After that the heat will come like Gang Busters.  We should enjoy the cool weather while we can.  Just heard that they are going to run the Big Boy down here to SoCal in October for a payback excursion to the group that donated the engine from our local train museum in Pomona.  I doubt they will run it into L.A. because of smog restrictions.  They will probably display it Somewhere like West Colton.  Tickets to ride the train will probably be more than I want to pay.  Anyway, it will be nice to see it under steam again.

Good evening all,

Got a new vehicle on Friday.  This will be work transportation.  It is a Ford Escape and received a good deal with various rebates and trade in deals.  Mowed the yard tonight as well.  Long day, good day.  Weather was comfortable.  I hope everyone has a good day.
