Culvert unloader/loader post war or modern?

I resisted buying a culvert loader and unloader for years, but finally I think I might go ahead and purchase them.   

I know the post-war version and the reissue tend to be picky. Especially the unloader. For those of you who have experience with them, which would you recommend?  The post-war or the reissue?

As cantankerous as the postwar versions are, you can always get them to work.

The modern versions may work OK for a while, but as soon as the electronic controls are wiped out, and they will always eventually fail, they are useless and relegated to display only status.

I agree with Rob.  I had the modern culvert loader and unloader as soon as both were released back around 1999-2000.

 

The loader was garbage; I went through three that had various failures.  Most were due to various sensors and the rubber roller that propelled the claw.  The unloader was better, but not great.

 

I dumped both and bought a postwar 342 loader and 345 unloader.  They were a bit fussy to tune, but now they work great.
