Evening All!

I guess the Chief thinks I've earned my stripes and he's passed the torch to me! I'll show my ambition and get it started early!

Weird weather day today. Up to 60ish and sunny, dropped to 40ish and cloudy in 10 minutes. Calling for more white stuff on Friday.

RT - Continued prayers. If I was closer, I would help you with that ramp in a heartbeat.

Have a good one and prayers.

Rob

Just 2 years ago my uncle got picked up by a wave on Maui and was deposited back on the rocky beach on his head.  Needless to say his neck was broken and he was paralyzed.  But he was up and walking around within the first year. Miracles DO happen!  Big Smile

Thanks for the thoughts and confedence all.

Bit early for Marches

But, on the good side for me anyway, I now can make a floor layout :) For a while anyway lol. And my house is one big loop from living room into the den into the kitchen and finally thru the bedroom back to the living room Big Smile

RT, when I first got on this forum, my layout was known as the carpet RR that ran through the wedding presents.  Mountains were youngest daughter's wedding presents she hadn't taken with her.  Several things she didn't take, we did.  She took her furniture so I layed tracks around the big bedroom and through the wedding present piles.  Go for it.

Rob, thanks for the new Pot.

Rolling out early tomorrow AM.

Have a good one.

Good Morning from rainy 52*F Southern Ohio

Carpet layouts are better than no layout!  Funny, I've got the room now, but not the time.  Can't make more hours, so maybe I can just start and let inertia take over over!

May God bless

Morning all!

Quick stop. Very cloudy. Rain was heavy last night and has finally moved east. 50's. Maybe 60 late today if sun comes out.

Good Morning,

The rain has been here all night. But it looks to be heading east northeast and clearing out in the next few hours.

Pension payday so shopping for food is the plan for the day. Darn gas jumped 35 cents in one day to 2.599.

I went for years with my layout on a shelf that did not have power. Carpet would have been better.

Later today I will pick up that Yahama 110cc bike,, after I hit the bank.

RT, Prayers for Donna and you.

Anyone notice this software sucks? Laugh

Hello there,
Been to Mass and spent 1.5 hours on fish fry prep.

It was in the 70s last week. Flocks of Robins are here crocus are blooming. Snow predicted this weekend? ????.

I've been getting little relief from chiropractor lately. After 25+ years I decided to see an ortho doc. After several x-rays it was deemed I have Arthur in the lower back. Too much work and fell off my motorcycle too many times. If PT doesn't help we'll do an MRI.

Rich......what's your brothers plan now the the PA supreme court has things all screwed up?

Best move on.

Happy Thursday which means it's fire drill night.

Weather is gonna get crazy, wind, rain, flooding, cats and dogs living together, ya know, real end of days stuff......

I'll be going to the WGH show next week and see my buddy Larry from Holly Beach Trains in WIldwood for my PRR/Reading/SS Lines cars....can't wait!

Good news on Donna, RT....

Rob, if we can manage it, I say we all plan a road trip.....

Banks - I forwarded this to my bro, he said if nothing else, it will enhance his chances of winning the district.

Head Gasket Duty this weekend for my little Sundance, should be no big deal, just need an extra pair of hands and should be completed in an hour or 2.  Just nursing it along until Saturday.

Evening All!

Ugh. That was a messy trip home...... Flip flops and t-shirt yesterday afternoon and back into a winter  coat today!!

RT/Sir James - Yes, yes. I jumped the gun. I had to get up at the crack of dawn today as well to travel for a work meeting and had a early night. I didn't want to let the Chief down, so I cheated a few hours early....... Next time I'll stay up. Smile

Also, Sir James I met one of your D3R buddies yesterday to buy a train set from him.

Becky- That is a miracle!

RT - Nothing wrong with the Carpet Central. I still break out the O72 curves and set it up to run my scale passenger cars and auto racks, etc.

Kev - Same with me except it was 2.66/Gallon.

Rich - Always up for a road trip. I need to get going on that car!

Have a good one.

Rob

Well that Yamaha is a Kawasaki 110. Don't matter it is in great shape and was a heck of a deal for $500.00. Yahoo! it is a nice little bike, I took it for a spin around the place and the back of my coat will prove that. Wife has to wash the coat.  LaughPirateDevil

Forgot to say I got the Lionel catalog today from CharlesRo. Nice to have to look through with the grand-kids. Nice they send them to you for free.. Oh wait, I ordered that Teir 4 set from them. Maybe not free then. Smile, Wink & Grin

RT - That really sucks about Donna. Praying for a full recovery. If I lived closer I would be over to build that ramp for you!

I better start hiding the saws ( Sorry brent just had to say it. ) I appreciate the offer. But I'am a bit from you. I think just taking my time and doing a little each day I can easily get it done in two weeks if it doesn't rain the whole time. The next four days are suppose to be good.

Well we had one doctor tell us it wasn't a stroke after looking at the MRI so refered it to a neurologist, who said it is a stroke, that sometimes it don't show up the first time on the MRI so she is suppose to get a another one sometime tonight or tomorrow morning.

Never ending

Hello there,

Prayers for Donna RT. ...............As far as the ramp goes play it safe and consult your local building code office first. There have been horror stories localy where people have built ramps and the local codes people made them remove or alter them because they didn't meet code.

Brent .....glad to hear from you.

You guys are makingme frustrated with gas prices. Most places localy are $2.89

Kev......nice ride. I know for fact a new one is $2,200.00. Club I belong to just gave one away.

Fife........you able to make Altoona on the 11th?

Best move on

Good evening,

I had a somewhat long day at the office and then house chores after work. The wife made meatloaf for dinner, which is one of my favorite meals. I usually only get it on my birthday so this was a treat. I was able to test both lines of track and they operated well. I might make one small tweak to the track plan but then I am ready to get it off the floor and start building some benchwork. We are supposed to get some super strong winds overnight and possibly some rain and snow in the morning. Most of the people in this area are already in a panic.

Good night,

Joe

Hey all.

Here's where we are with Donna. First DR. after Cat scan, x-ray, and Then a MRI he said it showed nothing so it mustn't be a stroke. Refered her to neurology. Neurologist say no it was a stroke, need to do another MRI as sometimes it doesn't show up on the first one. So we're back to square one again. They said she would get another MRI tonight or tomorrow morning. She keeps complaining about her lower back ( it was messed up some but I feel when she fell she messed it up more) as she can't even stand with out such pain she is about to cry to the point of bawling. I'm going to be in there tomorrow hopefully early enough to catch the DR. I have to goto the Bank first, to take care of some business.

Then I want to see what's going on with her.

Good evening all,

Drove to St. Louis, stopped at Terre Haute on way home and got home before midnight.  Long day.  Weather windy.  Daughter not improving as she would like.  Still can't drive.  Go back in April.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Blustery and 36 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Off today, helping Wifey prepare for the oldest Princess and grandsons.  WV teacher strike has gone on all week.

88 - Looking forward to tomorrow.  Bring a chainsaw, as I'm expecting a "foliage fall" train.

Banks - Got a train that morning...  Please keep me posted on future shows, thanks.

Demay - You only have to turn on any of your local news stations to understand why people get to that frenzied state.  And immediately after a severe weather event, people will be running to the 7-Eleven, girls will be shopping at the mall, geeks will be flocking to the GameStop, and little old ladies will make their way to their favorite Savings & Loan....  Welcome to the East Coast.

Aloha. Sunny and cold - felt like fall with a heavy frost this morning.  I'll certainly take it over East Coast weather. Nothing on tap today except an hours-long tele-conference where the tech won't work - supposed to start in a few minutes. Praying for a clear care plan for Donna, RT.

TGIF - a lull in the action as I just completed a big report for a Lexus IS-F, multiple codes for the Oxygen Sensor and Anti-Lock Brakes.....took 40 minutes of typing and diagnosing....

Still waiting for the high winds and driving rains here...41F now, just bothersome.  You could tell the weather changed, right after I got to bed, there was an alarm in the retirement community, 2 accidents (MVA) within a mile of each other on the Turnpike, then this morning, there was a fulling involved vehicle on the Turnpike aat 0530 and just had 2 calls at the neighboring fire house.....yup, all weather related....

Kev - looks like a nice bike.....

OK just wrapped yet another long Lexus report.....oy......

Back to the grind......

Well it is over for wifey's sister. She passed this morning, age 59. Indifferent

Even with all the bad she did to everyone she should of held dear, I can still see the sadness in Sandra, I understand.

Evening All!

Well I'm glad we didn't get as much white stuff as predicted.

Kev - Prayers to your wife (and you). 59.....Sad

Sir James - It was Dave S. Had a nice chat with him . Good guy.

MikeC - Prayers for your daughter. Hope her healing improves.

RT - I'm by no means a doctor, but there is a such thing as a "spinal stroke". Similar to a blood blockage in your brain, but instead it's at the spinal cord.

Banks - I guess I'll stop complaining about 2.65/Gallon. Is Pennsylvania typically much higher?

Have a good one and prayers.

Rob I think what your talking about is called a brain stem stroke. Donnas mother died from that. Okay now some good news

They did the second MRI today and it showed swelling on the front left side, and the DR. said as the swelling goes down she will get more and more of her use of her limbs again. ( if there was a smiley doing a cartwheel I would put about 5 of them here. )
