Becky I will say this. I know you can do it from what I have seen in the past. I'm just thinking it might make a nice display piece on a layout if you have other space items ( ie some of the post war space cars series ). Looks like some fun thou either way.

Good day at work. Good walk at noon. Finished up one phase of a long term data quality project. The nice thing about the way I am doing them is that I have it set up to be able to redo them on a monthly or as needed basis without much hassle. It is not totally "automagical", but "close enough for government work" as my dad used to say. Wife and I both too tired to do anything tonight so we watched the first Pirates of the Caribbean. The music is what makes that show. So-so day for AJ's team at Detroit. 41 starts dead last, but the 14 car is mid-pack. After Indy, no one can be eliminated from contention anymore. Becky, glad to see you posting here on a regular basis. Good luck with your project. Kevin, the house looks great. ANJ, congrats on the house purchase. I hope everyone has a good day.

RT, I've got two anniversaries coming up this month. The 20th is the 5th anny for joining the CHF club and the 25th is the 1st anny for my hockey puck installation, actually it's an ICD but it is the size of a hockey puck. It is one of the largest ones made, I guess to support all the functions and it's wifi capability. If I ever get someone PO'd I hope they don't discover it's password.
Gotta get moving, they are talking 100* again for today.

Well we made it through the pre-school and kindergarten graduation today. After party was am Mickey D's
Fife, On the can it said to do a re-topcoat after 5 years. The house will be 10 this Oct and so far all I have needed to do is what gets direct sun from the south. The rest still looks good. It is a two part system with a sealer and topcoat. I did the porch railings last year and the porch to house endtails, This year I did the south side. Should of done it maybe 2 years ago now that I did it.

We’re in the middle of flash flood warnings and the river is on the rise.
Grandson Gabriel and I have been working on the Chicken coop past couple of days. It is taking longer with the help but he is learning how to rip 2X’s on the table saw, use the mitre saw, pocket hole jig, air nailers, tape measure and screw guns. We’re having a good time.
Tomorrow is Confirmation for the twins, that will be good. I assisted last week with a Confirmation in a nearby parish, then this week in my home parish.
Felicity the girl twin grandaughter woke up early this morning in pain. Turns out she has a kidney stone. She currently is feeling better.

Doug mine can be accessed also by wifi. mine is a metronics. and it's about the size of a hockey puck also so I think they all are. mine is set to shock me at like when I get a heart rate of like 190 and then it will go into pacemaker mode to bring me back up to normal speed lol.

Finally, Able to get on the site........
First Off most important the Chief's B-Day. Here I went and bought a card and everything, Kay made a cake even with candles. (We ate it in the train room.)
Since the card is late, thought I would post it here. (Hard copy is in route.)
On to the lighter stuff,
- Finished the Dr's layout I've been working on! Trying to train him on how to use it, and helping with engines. Given the grades he has, and not doing any clearance tests, it IS a challenge. Need to tape some paint or ink filled sponges to identify all the problem areas.
- Worked on another layout with some of Roy's associates, taking it down so it can be shipped to a Children's hospital as a donation. Had a good time working with George & Edgar. Learned some stuff as well. (Now I have an idea of how the 1% er's live. WOW!)
- Went to a train show this am, but parts, but saw SPRay and had a nice chat with him and his friend Larry.
- And, been fighting computer problems the last 2 weeks. Had a consultant in yesterday, he was able to get 2 laptops working which was great. Recommended we get a mini PC, (Intel NUC), that seems like a great way to go so that is in process. The new computer is 4x4", has a SSD drive and unbelievable capabilities! All for less than $500.
- Neighbor had a estate sale today, I think we went crazy. Bought a coffee table, 2 end tables, bookcase, credenza, and a treadmill. Stuff was in really great shape and well made. Elder couple had them and the usual, he passed and she is in a nursing home. Kids selling the stuff. Treadmill works and is in good shape, not used much, and was $20! I really didn't want one, but the Dr. had said I need to keep walking, walking, walking & walking. Then the leg will continue improving. So maybe it was an omen.
- Hopefully, may have a visitor from Ohio out here soon! Looking forward to that, always great to meet guys from the forum.
Need to go and start cleaning stuff, so prayers and good wishes to all. (Forgive me for not posting more, no excuses. Either computer issues, or when I sit down for a few minutes, Im sleeping)

Back at work for one more week. We go into summer shutdown on the 15th. Will be nice to be on a more normal schedule for a while (and some vacation).

Proof that I'm insane: currently adding photo etch details to a 1/700 scale destroyer model. Things like railings, anchors, and lots of teeny, tiny stuff you have to fold.
Rich - house looks good. Going to be moving myself soon, although into another 'quasi-mobile' arrangement.

Is that Zeppelin one of Ralph Currell's models? He has several free to download at http://www.currell.net/models/mod_free.htm including the Graf. I also just found this model of the LZ129: http://rocketmantan.deviantart.com/art/LZ-129-Hindenburg-Airship-paper-model-312181994. After I get the LEM built (and all the Disneyland work I'm back-burnering so I can build it) I hope to make it to hang over my prewar layout(s). I already have the Graf on fishing line and having both would look great!
I did build an Aegis class destroyer model out of paper but I don't know the scale. It's roughly 18" long and is a waterline model. I built it as a warm-up to a kit of the Yamato that I paid 40 bucks to download. Lucky for me, I had everything printed with spares before my computer crashed and I lost the file! All I have done to date is the formers for the hull which I made out of posterboard. At nearly 2 feet long I set it aside to search for a display space before I started making all those miniscule parts. One of these days I'll figure out where to put it so I can get back to work on it!

Very busy today. Worked outside most of the day. Edged, trimmed and pruned trees between us and neighbor. Wife painted the living room. Only has trim to do and she will be done. Room looks nice. Watched second Detroit race. Sato salvaged a 10th place. Weather was fantastic today and all the windows in the house are open. I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all. Not a lot going on here. Got one ceiling fan done yesterday ( the easy one ) the PITA is today or I should say it was when I did it in Columbia. Maybe this time it will go better. Be nice to have a light there again as the one there now did a spark and died about 2 months ago so we will see. I need to put one in here in this room but the one I have left is missing a blade some how so will check at Lowes and see if they have the one I need, the next time I'm there. I know they carry some.
Have to wait for the wife to get up first thou lol. I think once the roof is done I will get someone to blow in some more insulation in the attic as it doesn't seem very deep up there. I'm thinking it will help. the windows are going to be next year some time thou. Still need to find someone to craw under the house and put some supports in as they didn't do enough really when it was put here. ( been told years ago it was moved here. ) Any way worked on three tenders last night and got 2 of them going and the 3rd I need to solder two wires together ( oh fun , NOT! ) as one of the wires from the winding to the relay isn't long enough, it's about a hair short of touching where it needs to be soldered to. Got the boards just haven't had a decent day really to stain the ones needing staining. No excuse on the two that just need to be cut to put up for more 5' shelves on the one wall. ( If I ever take these down I'm going to have ton's of holes to fill lol. ) Hope all have a good day, Cloudy and calling for rain again today.

Becky - this kit was of the L59, the famous Afrika Schiff, and came from Poland. I have another of the L49 that I have not put together yet. Also have a very detailed paper model of the Schwaben from Germany to put together someday. I started w/ the Norge from Fiddlers Green.
The model I'm working on now is a plastic kit of the USS Ward. It's about 5" long and maybe 1/2" wide. It came w/ photo-etch details so I thought I would give it a try. I bought a small folding tool which helps. I have kits for the USS Iowa and USS Tucson in 1/700 scale and photo-etch parts are available for both of those.
Doing a lot of tinkering w/ Twin Coach busses in my time off. We started the '52 FL for the second time last week. I'm now chasing water leaks and trying to get the air system up and running. Pulled the compressor of a spare engine we have as a possible replacement. Cleaned it up and looks like it will put out air. I may be able to get the one on the bus working yet, but this has been a good tutorial.
Yes D-day it's not even on our calenders anymore and that's sad.
Aloha. It's a beautiful day in downtown Chicago. I had a nice weekend - volunteered at church, helped a buddy pack up a POD - he's moving to TN (like lots of other people here in IL) and hacked back the greenery in the yard - which I love that is all is thriving because of all our rain (since i usually manage to kill any yard greenery). I love paper models - I've made a few over the years - buildings and such - for N gauge and my current layout - as well as Macon / Akron airships and a few World War I aircraft -- all fairly large scale)

Had a nice chat with Don Baker at TTOS yesterday. Told me about a good deal on computer stuff which I understood some of. You probably noticed my eyes glaze over. Have to get my son involved before I get another computer.
I had the worst breakfast burrito in memory at the meet. Looked bad but didn't taste as bad as it looked. Guess I was hungry. Some of the stuff in it looked burned. So much for giving the new concessioner a try.
Going to doctor appointment for check up today. Might get an opportunity to discuss some of the issues with my wife. I'm still waiting for my long term care insurance to kick in. Takes 60 days from first day of claim. Meanwhile, I have to pay out of pocket. Ouch!

Good day at work. Pain one was gone so pain two had no one to talk to....awwwww! Central office IT has cranked up a rehash of a crazy plan that did not work 2 years ago and will not work for us now. Weather was good for a walk. Got the July issue of Trains today. I hope everyone has a good day.
