5 days of rain and I think my feet are getting webbing!   Guess we are due to have a few days without rain, so I will make a quick run for a sheet of plywood for the 2nd table - get my son to help me at last.  Got in the Snoopy pumpkin car and another halloween boxcar, which is a duplicate but it was on sale.  Waiting for my zombies.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Good evening all,

Very quiet day.  Got to play our game tonight.  We only had 11 players so I had to play the entire game.  We tied 2-2.  Need to have all hands on deck.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

 Fife,

Good to have a good dealer to cover you. My son Just last week got a new to him 2010 1500 Ram 4 door pick up Big Horn with the Hemi. Is your Drango a Hemi? very nice ride!

Russell claims the Hemi gets better MPG than the 4.7 V8, It wouldn't take much to beat out the 4.7 I had in the 2001 Dakota. 17.6 MPG best I ever got and only once most time 13.  Grumpy

Just checking in

It is 69 degrees but rain is coming to push it away.

A local store had a real good sale on some Lionel scale box cars but I just don't need them so had to pass.

Morning.  Partly cloudy.  Showers [some could be strong].  Got lunch meeting and then haircut middle of the afternoon.  Garden Club tonight.

Just got back from dentist.  All cleaned for six more months.

Prayers for those hit by bad storms.  Hope none of this gang was in them.  Protect those in the path of those forecasted.

Still don't feel up to "par".  Dr. said RMSF took some time.  Said my blood test showed real high count.  surprised I didn't have to be hospitalized.  Good Lord looks after us.

Have a great day.

Aloha. Rainy morning. Looks like a rainy afternoon and evening. I have class tonight and a meeting at another campus so I get to take the L which will be a highlight of the day. Just as I got home, the puppy got loose again. Spent half-an-hour chasing him in the dark and rain. He had great fun with the run-away game - for blocks and blocks. Smile  Told the bride the next time this happens we'll wait for someone to pick up his tired self and call us from his tag or chip. This is how i figured he ended up in a shelter in the first place. Happy belated birthday Ray!

Good morning all. I have 1 engine that doesn't respond to the signal and I get the flickering light and loss of control. I've cleaned the track so I'm thinking its a weak signal. When I run the lower level it really screws up the signal. Getting the RV ready for York. I tell the bride it's because I can't fit all the trains i want in a car. That always goes over big. Have a good day.

Now I only have TMCC and Cab 1 but I have had similar problems a couple of times once it was the R4LC Board and another time was was I needed to do a better antenna on the unit I ended up soldering to the grab irons around the engine.  now if its the radio board on the Legacy unit to my knowledge only authorize dealers can replace them. As it has to be programmed in some way.

Been soggy here the last week or so.

Redfire - thanks again for your compatability view setting tip again.  Had to reset this computer again - took a trip back to the August pot to remember.

Last Saturday was another toy train day at the KATY museum.  I took most of my Halloween themed items - the black hallows eve version of the Harry Potter locomotive and passenger cars, my new Sleepy Hollow cider reefer (a good looking car!), various pumpkin and ghost cars, and - eat your heart out Brutus - my grim reaper crossing guard.  Also set up a freight train headed up with my midnight chief F3's pulling hoppers full of candy corn, gondolas with cupcakes, etc. - kind of a trick or treat train.  Had about 60 people through.

Was great fun watching the kids.  There was one guy about 5 or 6 who was mugging like Calvin from Calvin & Hobbs when his parents were trying to take pictures.  Several kids were fasinated by the grim reaper crossing guard - like usual there were a couple who would jump every time he popped out of the shack.

Brutus - I found that I had to increase the return spring tension to get the grim reaper to return reliably.  Looks like the factory hot glued both ends of the spring during assembly.  If you need to make the same adjustment on yours, learn from me and only break the stationary end of the spring loose......

I've got a Legacy mystery going.  I've got two locomotives, one a Legacy, and the other a TMCC, that stop for no particular reason, or they don't respond to the CAB2 commands - speed changes, bell, horn, etc. The headlight flickers while they run, too.  Just to be interesting, the TMCC locomotive seems to run fine in reverse!?  Cleaning the track does not help.  I don't think that it is a signal or ground issue, as other Legacy locomotives will run as normal.  Cleaning the track does not help, though I have not cleaned the wheels yet.  Anybody else seen something like this?

About all for now.

Good evening all,

Busy today.  Had eye appointment.  All is good.  Had oil changed on Dakota.  Found out from Chrysler dealer what was wrong with PT Cruiser, and now it will get fixed.  Spent an hour picking up sticks in yard.  Changed outside light bulb.  Got 3 pairs of socks from Goody's for 3.75.  Took wife to grocery store for a few items.  Test drove a Buick Encore with AWD to see what that is like.   Wife liked it as well.  Will have to wait and see how much house project will cost before getting newer wheels.  Paid some medical bills.  May get to see Lucas and watch grandson play soccer on the same day next weekend.   All in all, it was a good day.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Aloha, looks like a rainy week. Hope it dries out by the end of the week as I have a major (for me) outdoor project: replacing my lousy mailbox and post. I did clear most of the deck furniture and grill away for the season - at least everything I could do myself. I'll need help with a few items - I dismantle and rebuild all the furniture every year. Seems to work.

Drove up to Minneapolis on Sat to visit my brother and his wife who moved there a few months ago. They aren't settled in yet and miss their former posting in Denver desperately. It was only about 6 and 1/2 hours each way. I had never been to the city so enjoyed taking one of their light rail trams to the big mall. Got back in time to watch the end of the Bears game. Nice win.

Awesome video, Gut.

Morning all.  Had health assessment nurse come for her visit.  She actually knew us.  No need to come back for 12 months.  Humana Enhanced thingy.

Meetings and Dr's follow up today.

Was suppose to be misting rain all day like yesterday [which wasn't suppose to happen].  Sun is out right now and has been since sun rise. ???

Have a great week.

Hello all

Quiet night here on the mountain. Had some high winds earlier, but it is calm now.

Managed to fix an old radio alarm that I use at home. Since it went down I have been using my cell phone as an alarm. I'll be cancelling the cell phone this week and just using the new land line so I had to come up w/ something:)

Found a few parts to put together a #60 trolley for a fairly reasonable deal. Body is toast, but I guess they had some problems w/ the plastic overheating. Thinking about coming up w/ something of my own. Should be interesting.

Mornin' Fellas

Had a nice visit with my little sister and BiL this past weekend. The kiddos apparently really like their uncle (he is a kid at heart) but the verdict is still out on whether the kids or Uncle Ed had more fun. Got the rest of wire protection plates installed in the kitchen remodel and got most of the drywall up. Had 2 pieces of green board left over from the bathroom remodel, so I used those in the corner where the pantry used to be. Amazing those two pieces at 4' x 28 to 34 inches were heavier than the 5' sections of regular drywall I put above them to the ceiling. Have to remove two sections of drywall that I installed where the soffit was because I forgot to install the ceiling section first, then the wall section. No biggie because I have enough left over from the corner to finish the soffit remodel. Hope to be spackling tonight or tomorrow. Meeting with the counter top people tonight.
