Link to the new Williams by Bachmann catalog. Prices seem higher but usually there is room for large discounts by the dealers. Amtrak phase 5 Genesis is in the catalog.

I was disappointed in the latest Williams catalog because it appears that the number of items in the 'Golden Memories' section is declining. The 'Golden Memory' entries are my favorites.

The Williams traditional line now includes serveral former K-Line opearating cars.
The listed prices of the operating cars are now realistic with the new limited production of the cars and the quality control issues.

Yep, good to see the K-Line operating cars are coming back. Hopefully the 21 inch passenger cars will also be resurrected.

My K-Line operating cars can be operated anywhere on the layout using a special remote control. The Williams operating cars appear to require an uncoupling magnet to activate the dump feature.
I am wondering what happened to operating car's remote control feature that was listed in the final few years of the K-Line catalogs.

I have two of the remote control operating cars and they are still working fine. However, other folks have reported problems with them.
Somebody who writes for Classic Toy Trains will have to do some investigation to see if the remote controls for the operating cars will still be used for these cars, because the price seems high for a car that does not have the remote included.
They have included SuperStreets in the catalog if somebody is looking for the sections.
