well i started to expand my layout again with a train yard so i put a switch in for two lines that i can leave trains on without always taking them off so far so good i would like a third but stupid 022 switches take up so much room i dont know what to do. 022 switches turn to wide i need a y track would be great but no one makes one. any thoughts?

Here's how I cut O27 turnouts to get 2 7/8-inch track spacing:  http://cs.trains.com/trccs/forums/p/36520/469380.aspx#469380

Here is a nice thread about cutting down the 022 switches.

For making a wye, there is a gentleman by name of Richard Reichard who sells manuals for building your own custom turnouts.

I cut down 6 022 switches to make them smaller. Pictures of them are on a post "posting pictures." I haven't figured out how to cut down the giant switch motors, however. Bruce Baker
