My old K-line catolog that was given to me says he was born August 25, 1877, but I guess the Social security year of 1878 is probably the correct year.
Alex
According to Wikipedia, he was born in 1877 but often gave 1880. However, according to the Social Security Administration, he was born in 1878. They both agree on August 25.
By the way, his social security number was 109-03-7241. Perhaps someone can work that into his layout.
