Sunday Photo Fun 8/19/07

A couple shots of my G gauge Thomas set made by Lionel a few years back. This picture was taken at the museum layout. I love to take it there and let all the kids see it. They absolutely love to see him run. They run from one end of the layout and back watching, pointing and talking about him.

Nice shots of Thomas. My 9 year old son still likes Thomas so I think will be adding Lionel's O gauge version to our collection.

Latest pic of progress on our Garage/Gamesroom and future layout home.

Just had the garage door fitted so now the building is weather tight we can crack on with the electrics and fitting outSmile [:)].

Some photos of my ill-fated Boston & Maine boxcar. The decal film still shows through several coats of clear. I need to consult Brianel027 for advice on how to avoid this in the future.

B&A Berkshire #1426 heads an eastbound fuel and oil train.

A while later the ground shook as a mixed freight headed by 2 L2a Mohawks passes through.

The last shot is at W Mansfield. A B&A Berkshire #1407 takes a spin on the turntable.

As always, great pictures everyone.  I dismantled my layout to move it to its permanent place in the basement.  I hope to finish it over Labor Day.  Anyway, here it is just before I started taking it down.

A lot of very nice pictures as usual.

Perry, just think if you model a winter scene you are almost done. Smile [:)] I'm anxious to see the final results.

A couple of quick pictures of the new L&NE L1 loco.

Latest purchase... for Susan's wine cellar/wine bar

This was very hard to find as they were only made in 1996.  I was lucky enough to find one that had never been opened and for a decent price!  Now to get it on some track to make sure works!

Magnificent, John! Is that bluish cast on the top of the front truck from your photo lighting or the engine's LED?

Doug, I noticed the blue "glow" myself!! Its not an LED or intentional, just a quirky phenomenon. Or else my locomotive is haunted!!!!!Shock [:O]Shock [:O]Big Smile [:D]

It's your 'aura' of good modeling, John. I'm always inspired by the way you set the figures and details in a scene - they don't call attention to themselves per se but sure 'tell' a story.

Jon (and others). I love your military pictures. I'm writing a book, which I can describe to you in an email and would love to use a few of your military/toy train photos for possible inclusion. The book is about War Trains throughout history and will very briefly touch on this aspect. I'm scouring Nat'l Archives and Library of Congress sites as well for photos of armored trains, troops transports and so forth.

Jon, great photos as usual.  Can you tell me who makes the street lights?

Thanks,

Kurt

Kurt, I'm pretty sure those lights were made by MTH.

FJ&G: If you're kind enough to credit me with the photos and autograph my copy of your book that I would love to purchase- then Yes!!!!

If you go to my "other" forum I hang out you can go to the Members Photos section and pick what you need. Or I can email them to you.
