By the way the most inside track is super O the other 3 are gargraves.

I guess Lionel is lucky that Eldyn(Graves) & Earle(Gardner) did not sue them over the design. Oh well, there will never be any Super O made again, & GarGraves is still going strong.

Close look there not identical and all lionel had to say there where trying to make realistic track and don't be to sure about it never being made again theres arguments about the molds and if I remember right there was a guy making some about 10 years ago but it wasn't exact but real close.
RT, if I may ask, and maybe I missed it some where, why super o? There's so many other readily available track systems available....
I am just curious. I am not in any way saying it was a bad idea. Just wondering...

EDIT : I just read the WHOLE post...... I thought you where doing the whole layout in Super O and trying to jerry rig GarGraves in between it...... I am tired........
I happen to get this post war train set which turned out to be 2571W from 1961 The Fort Knox set it was missing a couple of cars which I obtain real easy and it came with super O track and a LW transformer so now all I'm missing is a box for the fort knox gold car and a set box other wise have the whole set. So decided to do a loop in super O and run the set there probably add a couple other post war cars to it as the loop will have room as I'm thinking the loop will be like 5' by 12'
Well I got most of my landscaping supplies so I will be taking all of the track off of the addition to start on that. I will replace the 1/2 042" curve so I can still run the trains as they were before the table expansion.
I don't have anything new to add but here is a shot of one of the Hobos catching a free ride.

Easy to find and very plentiful, a LOT less expensive than FasTrack, and can be custom bent to any radius. Super O is the best!
Rob not sure about bending Super O as had one piece that I got in with a large lot that someone tried to bend I think ( Don't know why you would want to bend a curve tighter than it is ) but the kinked the day lights out of it. But yes Super O is very plentiful the only thing I see is the electric switches are $$ but You still can get the conversion pieces to convert an O gauge switch to be used with super O.
Super O remote and manual switches cost less than Fastrack equivalents.
OK, back to pictures...
Once again I have been "multilating" my Flyer 355. It never ran well on the 2% grades on my current layout. Lots of wheel-slip trying to pull even a single car up the hill. So last weekend I fabricated a small "fuel tank" out of sheet brass and filled it with lead fishing weight. I glued a couple of plastic tubes to the sides, in replacement of the simulated air tanks on the original.
In all I probably only increased the weight of the locomotive by a couple of ounces, but I am happy to say it can now at least pull 3 cars up the hill.
I have figured out what is wrong with my brain! On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!

Well I picked up a PRR interurban set with tmcc by K-Line befor Lionel obtain it so this doesn't have the detail seats and all but it does have TMCC and railsounds which the other doesn't( it might have railsounds but not tmcc) any way that will be on its way to me. ( Hmm what do I tell you know who about this one lol) Oh well she'll get over it.
To me the switches ( super O) are expensive all I can find are the ones that are about $100 each. Don't have plans for switching anyway with it lol.
