Menards salutes the classic era of bomber nose art with the Old Crow commemorative car, and he Great Northern's 'Rocky Mountain Goat' shows the way to fast service to and from the West coast.

Menards continues to crank out rolling stock and here are some of the latest O gauge items released from the Wisconsin-based home improvement chain.

 

Menards salutes the boys who took on Berlin and Tokyo with the no. 279-3850 WWII Nose Art Commemorative boxcar “Old Crow,” $24.99 plus shipping. An interesting factoid is that a B-52 using the Old Crow artwork clocked more bombing missions in Iraq than any other B-52.

Interesting graphics include a hint of a high-explosive cargo!

The car adds a little patriotic flair on the brakeman's side of the car!

The Great Northern is pointing the way to superb freight service!

The car features Great Northern graphics and car data. The no. 279-3884 Great Northern boxcar $19.99 plus shipping.

One side of the car has the usual Built by Menards as well as an advisory notice not to send the car over a freight yard hump!

The New York Central's famed red and grey Pacemaker paint scheme gets the treatment with the no. 279-3888 New York Central Pacemaker boxcar $19.99 plus shipping. The fact that you see two mean's 'Bob Bought It' and opted for free shipping to my local Menards.

Each car has a unique four-digit car number.

The emblem is the correct 'pre-Cigar band' logo.

The two tone body has black ladder accents and the roof walk is grey.
