These two cars from Menards will add a splash of color to any O gauge freight train.

Two new pieces of gear were rolled out by Menards this week. The no. 279-3874 Union Pacific covered hopper ($19.99) and the 279-3436 Santa Fe flatcar wth Shell fuel container load ($24.99). Both cars feature die-cast trucks and couplers.

Ready to haul your layout's amber waves of grain, the Menards covered hopper has unique numbering and a colorful American flag graphics.

The Flag graphics are superb.

The car ends features a UP shield, nomenclature, and a brake wheel!

The catwalk and access hatches are painted silver for a nice color accent.

The container has reporting information on the ends and a red frame.

The top of the tank has access hatches, a catwalk, and even a warning not to step on the tank.

Readers may want to consider a two-ship formation with the Santa Fe flatcar with Shell container and the no. 279-3437 Santa Fe flatcar with Shell tanker trailer load ($24.00).

Prices don't include shipping. Order online at www.menards.com and select free shipment to your local Menards store.

Keeping fuel a flowing, Menards adds another car to its line of Shell equipment.

The Santa Fe flatcar has unique numbering and a deck painted a wooden hue. The fuel container is securely affixed to the car.
