Don't magnify the image to see what you can read! We Photoshopped anything useful out of the picture. Sneaky, aren't we?

If you had worried that Christmas had come and gone and that Menards would be backing off on production, don't worry.

On Monday we received two large boxes of upcoming as-yet-to-be-announced goodies from the home improvement chain - both rolling stock and a knock-your-socks-off ... oh well, can't quite tell you about that yet. You'll just have to wait. And it WILL be worth the wait.

Suffice it to say that the flatcar with Air Force fuel container load announced by Menards this week was in the box, so we can share it!

The no. 279-3187 Air Force flatcar with rocket fuel load features die-cast wheels, wood-texture decking, and a containerized fuel vessel and costs $24.99. Free shipping to your local menaces store. Order at ww.Menards.com.

Fluid loads are often carried in a square frame for easier handling with other containerized cargo.

The container is securely attached to the flat to prevent disasters enroute to the launch pad!

Shortly after I posted the USAF flat SHAZAM, Menards announced the no. 279-3886 Western Pacific boxcar! This is a nice traditionally-sized freight car with nice graphics. The car costs $19.99 each plus shipping and is available through www.menards.com Shipping is free to your local Menards store.

Shades of the postwar era, the Western Pacific boxcar will look at home on a traditional layout.

The car has very nice graphics.

Interestingly the 'Built by Menards' is located on the ends, not on the side of the car.

The silver rooftop walk is a nice contest to the black and orange.
