New well cars from Atlas O

The new Gunderson Maxi-IV well car is as impressive a freight car set that you can find in O gauge.

We received an outstanding intermodal product from Atlas O this week, the no. 3007403-1 Gunderson Maxi-IV well car (in TTX road name). This is a beautiful three-section car that is one impressive die-cast metal rig. It has fine detail parts  (see close-up photos) and smooth rollability.

This is a long set with superb detailing.

While the set can run on O-54 curves, you’ll probably want to run on O-72 or wider diameter track just for looks.

The cars ride low, so you can stack 'em high!

The well car comes in BNSF, BRAN, Florida East Coast, and TTX road names for $289.95 per car set.

The cars are easy to connect and each end car has a platform.

The car does not come with containers, but shown in the photos are the nos. 3006307-6 Master Line CIMC 53-foot container Hub Group (Green) container and the 3006302-5 Master Line Jindo 53 foot container Hub Group (Red).

The car bodies are die-cast metal and the trucks have excellent rollability.

The Jindo containers come undecorated, and in CSX, Hun Group,

The CIMC containers come undecorated or in EMP, Hub Group, or UMAX road names.

The containers cost $29.95 each or in an assortment pack for $179.70.

The cars have prototypical under car support and the flash decks have water drain holds.
