Morning on the test track

First up was the new MTH Premier line no. 20-3591-1 Baltimore & Ohio 4-4-0. The tooling is from MTH's Empire State Express 4-4-0, though it looks great decked out for the B&O.

I was putting a few engines through their paces on the test track. Pics are from my iPhone (running the DCS App). The building seemed strangely empty for a Friday … I hope everyone has a safe and fun Labor Day weekend!

The 4-4-0 did a great job hauling my heavy, metal Williams Superliner cars!

The model bridges the gap between railroading's root in' tooting' six gun wild west days and the pre-World War one era.

Slightly more modern in appearance is the MTH Premier line no. 20-20495-1 Milwaukee Road GP30.

The model took full advantage of MTH's sound system and our first step was to turn off the smoke unit, lest folks walking down the hall report something amiss!
